Refund & Return Policy
Last updated October 19, 2026
In plain English
Our work is custom, so refunds follow the payment terms in your written proposal. This page explains the principles behind them: what happens if you cancel, how we correct work that isn’t right, and what can’t be refunded.
01What this policy covers
This policy applies to the services offered through this website: WordPress and Shopify development, custom websites, software development, AI integrations, AI automations, digital marketing and graphic design.
We provide custom professional services, not physical goods, so there is nothing to ship back. In this context a “return” means having work corrected or redone when it does not meet what was agreed, which is covered in the section on corrections below.
02Your proposal comes first
Every project starts with a written proposal or agreement that sets out the scope, deliverables, schedule, fees and payment schedule (for example a deposit, milestone payments or a monthly retainer). It may also include specific cancellation, refund and correction terms. If your proposal says something different from this page, your proposal applies. Where it is silent, the principles below apply.
03Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel before we have started work, we will refund what you have paid, less any non-recoverable costs we have already incurred on your behalf, such as third-party purchases made at your request.
04Cancelling or pausing after work has started
If a project is cancelled once work is under way:
- you pay for the work completed up to the date of cancellation, at the rates in your proposal;
- milestones that have been delivered and accepted are not refundable; and
- payments made in advance for work we have not yet performed are refunded or credited, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred.
We will provide a clear breakdown of the work completed and any amounts involved.
05Corrections: when work isn’t right
If a deliverable does not meet the agreed specification, tell us in writing within the review period stated in your proposal, describing what is wrong. We will correct it at no extra charge.
New requests, or changes to what was agreed, are treated as a change to the scope and may be charged separately. We will always confirm the effect on cost and timing before doing the work.
If, after reasonable attempts to put it right, we are unable to deliver the agreed work, we will discuss a fair remedy with you, which may include a partial or full refund for the affected work.
06What is not refundable
Unless your proposal says otherwise, the following are not refundable once incurred:
- Third-party costs, such as domains, hosting, licences, themes, plugins, apps, stock assets and fonts, bought for your project;
- Advertising spend paid to platforms such as search engines and social networks, once spent. We cannot recover money the platform has charged;
- Work delivered in line with the agreement; and
- Costs caused by delays on the client side, such as content or approvals not being provided.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes such as search rankings, website traffic, leads or sales, because these depend on factors outside our control. A result that falls short of an expectation is not, by itself, grounds for a refund unless a specific outcome was agreed in writing.
07Retainers and ongoing services
For ongoing services such as maintenance or campaign management, you can end the arrangement by giving the notice stated in your agreement. Unless your agreement says otherwise, fees for a period that has already begun are not refunded, and the service continues to the end of that period.
08How to request a refund or correction
Contact us in writing with your name, the project it relates to, what the issue is, and what outcome you are asking for. We will review the request promptly and reply in writing with our decision and the reasons for it.

09How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible. How quickly the money appears depends on your bank or payment provider.
10Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under consumer protection law, for example any right to cancel certain distance contracts, or to remedies when a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Where such rights apply to you, they take priority over anything here.
